Locapal installs cover tables at the “Neie Wal” wildlife crossing on the French-Luxembourg border.
Following the installation last April of the three cover tables that form a tunnel over the A3 in the France-Luxembourg direction, the operation will be repeated in the opposite direction at the beginning of July 2023.
This time, the process will be different: instead of being transported, the cover tables will be assembled on site.
As a reminder, these LOCAPAL metal structures make it possible to pour concrete into the vault, the true signature of the structure. While construction of the walls continues, formwork has already begun on part of the vault. The task is a meticulous one, requiring extensive reinforcement to guarantee its statics.
The first concreting of the vault and cornices won’t take place until September, and at the end of the year the gantries will disappear to reveal the architecture of the wildlife crossing.
